In order to run the DBISAM Database Server (dbsrvr.exe) or ElevateDB Server (edbsrvr.exe) as an interactive service under Windows Vista, the Interactive Services Detection service must be running. By default, this service is not started automatically and needs to be manually started, so you should change the startup type to Automatic if you wish to have this service running when the server machine boots Windows Vista.
