I just learned about the Mida Converter availabe with Delphi XE4. Their
website shows a conversion of Tim's CD Collector application.

http://www.midaconverter.com/product.html

They also state the following at the bottom of the page:

"Projects converted with Mida from VCL to FireMonkey are compatible
with Windows 32/64 and Mac OSX / iOS ( XE4 ) Operating Systems."

Does anyone know if the CD Collection application that was converted to
FireMonkey works on a MAC?

Here is a snippet from Mida's FAQ:

Is Mida optimized in particular ways for different databases?

Yes, if Mida recognizes the presence of some components of the database
it performs a specific conversion improving the quality of the
conversion.
It will add the specific library unit required for the database.

The set of components are recognized by Mida are :

- ClientDataSet
- Embarcadero - InterBase
- Elevate Software - DBISAM 4.x
- Elevate Software - EDB 2.x

- NexusDB
More soon ..

No, it won't, at least not until we have Mac support for EDB added.  I'm
hoping to have it done before summer.
