attached are the catalog and database files you requested.  I checked again and the error still occurs so you should see the same with the files I sent.  BTW all works well in DBISAM V4.25

The TITLES table is the one having problems in EDB.  I have a unique index/constraint on the TITLE_NAME column.  When I open the entire table in my APP all is fine.  As soon as I query the
column i.e. "WHERE (TITLES.TITLE_NAME Like 'A%')" then the error occurs.  I use this technique with other tables both with a unique constraint and with a regular index and it seems to work
fine.  

I have also included a TYPES table which has a unique constraint on the TYPE_NAME column for you to review.  It does not cause the error in questions when querying via the same method as
described for the TITLES table.
