Thread dbisam 3.30 engine update
Tue, Mar 21 2006 1:15 AMPermanent Link

Hi,

We've downloaded the 3.30 dbisamen.pas update and applied it to the
client. Does this update need to be recompiled into the server engine as
well? and SrvAdmin.exe and DbSys.exe?

Thanks in advance

When upgrading to a new Dbisam build you should rebuild everything,
including client utils and server.

Yes, everything should get the update, although the SrvAdmin utility doesn't
actually need it.

I don't mean to ask a dumb question, but is there an update to 3.30 for the
memory manager, or are you just taking it from 4.x and applying it to 3.30?

Is there a tech note on how to do this?

Walter

Just download FastMM 4 and recompile your application and the db server. I
ran some tests, and the results are at least as good as with DBISAMMM.
