Bruno | Hi,
I have a problem with the Database Server This is what I do : I have create an ini file (dbsrvr.ini) like this [Server Parameters] Server Name=test Server Description=Test Server Description Server Address=199.34.57.62 Server Port=10001 Server Thread Cache Size=20 Administration Address=199.34.57.62 Administration Port=10002 Administration Thread Cache Size=4 Configuration File=Test Configuration Password=bruno Encrypted Only=0 Encryption Password=bruno No User Interface=0 Append To Log=0 Large File Support=0 After that I run the server with the two commande line : Dbsrvr.exe /install Net start dbsrvr My server is running and in the taskbar I have the message "Running on address 199.34.57.62 and port 10001" I want to try to use the Server Administration Utility In the options, I put 199.34.57.62 for the IP address and 10002 for the Port. When I run the command "Login to server", I have the window "Remote login" on my screen and I don't know what is the "User name". So when I click on the OK button, I have always the same message : "Error retrieving server information - DBISAM Engine Error # 11276 The connection to the database server at '199.34.57.62' has been lost. Can you help me ? Thanks a lot |

It makes my job much easier when support questions are very descriptive like that. As for the issue, what you need is the default administrator user name and password: User ID: Admin (case-insensitive) Password: DBAdmin (case-sensitive) You can always find these here in the manual if you forget them: http://www.elevatesoft.com/dbisam4d5_configuring_starting_server.htm under "Default Login Information". -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
