Lance Rasmussen Jazzie Software Team Elevate | I've checked firewalls and such and am still having some testing issues.
Running the server on an XP client. I've added the ports to the Windows Firewall (12005 / 6) Running the Server Admin tool, I can set the IP to 127.0.0.1 and get in w/o issue. Setting the tool to the IP address of that machine, I get the 11280 engine error Using the tool, I tried from a Vista X64 machine to access the other machine. Same issue. Any suggestions? Nod32 is the Anti-v. I've tried disabling as well as disabling firewalls and no luck. Lance |

"J. B. Ferguson" | Lance,
Have you tried using the "Host Name" of the machine to see if that will work? For whatever reason it seems that that IP address is not being seen across the network where maybe using the host name will. -- Regards, Jan Ferguson Lance Rasmussen wrote: <<I've checked firewalls and such and am still having some testing <<issues. << <<Running the server on an XP client. << Any suggestions? Nod32 is the Anti-v. I've tried disabling as well as disabling firewalls and no luck. >> Is the database server listening on a specific IP address, or all addresses ? Lance Rasmussen Jazzie Software Team Elevate | The server says it is 127.0.0.1 and not all addresses....
I made my own build of the server, but all I did was change a couple text lines, color. Lance Rasmussen Jazzie Software Team Elevate | Tim,
Thanks for the "Snake Venom". There was an ini file there and it specified the local host. I killed off the INI and it's guuuuuuuud.
