"e" | Hi,
To get around issues with peoples firewalls etc, is it a viable option to run the DBISAM server on port 80 (assuming the machine isnt already hosting a website) ?. Cheers Clive, -- |

"Rita" | I did run a V3 server like this without complaint,
the site was hosting a website also. I guess some will say its not good practice and firewalls these days may not shake hands with your software. Tim got the ports registered so I cant see why some hosts dont open them. I just got an early xmas present after advice in these groups I got a VPS its not up yet but will be soon all ports open yeehaaaaaaaa http://www.cheapvps.co.uk/?page_id=8 Rita <e> wrote in message news:D5ACEBAA-834F-4B67-B6B5-9D788600534D@news.elevatesoft.com... > Hi, > > To get around issues with peoples firewalls etc, is it a viable option > to run the DBISAM server on port 80 (assuming the machine isnt already > hosting a website) ?. > > Cheers > Clive, > -- > |
