On a notebook with windows vista installed, trying to start dbisam server as a service
i always get an error message.

Vista UAC is a pain. Try installing server 'as Administrator', not to be
confused with logged in as Admin. If his is not working, and I am not sure
about DBISAM server, but you may have to create a basic user account for the
server to install as a service.

Regards,
Scott.

What is the error message that you're seeing ?   Scott is correct, you need
to make sure that you are running under the Administrator account when you
install the service.
