Hi,

Converting an application from sharing to CS
dbisam 3.30
I get error 11293 when I try to set the database directory to a directory that contains a point character (d:\images.03)
Is there a way around this ?

Can elevatedb handle the d:\images.03 directory ?

thanks

Yet, the same database directory without the point works (d:\images) ?  I
tried it here with DBISAM 3.30 and 4.x, and it works just fine.

<< Can elevatedb handle the d:\images.03 directory ? >>

Yes.

Well,

I tried it on my local computer (xp) and it works also.
When I try it on the win 2003 server, I get error 11293.
On the server the dbserver is started as a service, on my computer, I started it normal.

Any suggestions ?

"Std NT services cannot access

Well,

this does not explain why

d:\images

works on the server, and

d:\images.03

does not work ...

Wim,

It really doesn't matter.  Is d:\ a non-local drive on the server ?  If so,
then it won't work with a service unless you specify that the service run
under a different user account that has access to network shares.  Even
then, you're going to have to make sure that the DBISAM service starts
*after* the network redirector and other network services are loaded by
specifying that the DBISAM service is dependent upon them:
