Thread C++ Builder 2009 Professional & DBISAM VCL Client-Server with Source
Wed, Oct 22 2008 4:43 AMPermanent Link

Michael Boyle

Im the proud owner of DBISAM-VCL-CS-SRC (DBISAM VCL Client-Server with Source) and have been for many years.  However, i took the
plunge and purchased the very latest sparkly C++ Builder 2009.

I notice that on the download pages that this version of the compiler is not listed  :O

Can anyone confirm that DBISAM-VCL-CS-SRC (DBISAM VCL Client-Server with Source - Version 4.26 Build 3) is compatiable with the new
2009 version?

Im now in "panic" mode that my old applications cant be updated and used in the new package.

Fingers crossed!

Tim said there would be a new version soon for Delphi 2009.  I think the
same would go for C++ Builder 2009.  I'm waiting too.  EDB 2 took first
priority.

Thanks Tim, your time and efforts are much appriciated!

Priority for us at the moment is to have the previous applications working and compiling under C++ Builder 2009.  We do plan to move over to
the new swish ElevateDB in the coming months but having those older applications up and running first makes more business sense -  this will
allow us to continue and provide the fastest possible support in the event of a problem.

Kindest Regards,

Michael.

Oh and btw, what a fantastic product you have developed.  I first purchased around 2001 (if my memory serves me correctly) and never
looked back!  Keep up the good work and I look forward to working with your ElevateDB system soon.  Im sure that the new system will be
worth every penny as is the DBISAM system to this day.

Thank you very much.  I'm sure that you're like ElevateDB.  It's different
from DBISAM in several ways, but it also has a lot of improvements over
DBISAM.

I seem to be having problems downloading the RAD Studio 2009 from my customers area, it says "download unavailable at this time".
Anyone else got this problem?

If we're in the middle of a build, you'll get that message.  It's to prevent
anyone from downloading the old build when a new build is imminent.
