Thread Accessing Database Rights

Is there any way to get the current users access rights to a database without being logged in as an admin?

I would like to use the rights flags to restrict access to the application without having to create my own rights system.

Thanks

No, you'll need to have a separate session log into the server as an admin
in order to retrieve the rights.  I'm considering making some changes to
this at some point, but I'm not sure yet as to when and how.

Tim

Thanks for the info.  If you ever get the opportunity to revisit this area it would be nice for a user to be able to get their own rights.

Oh well that 10,001 jobs now.

Thanks for all your efforts.

The general idea is to do like with ElevateDB, and do away with the separate
admin port altogether.  It's a bit unnecessary in hind-sight, and it would
streamline the functionality of the server quite a bit.
