Hi,

A new year starting, I bought a new server on which I have installed windows webserver 2008 and dbsrvr. I copied the content of my 2003 server on the new one and I made a try.

Bad luck. It works but it is very very slow because of the database access. Do you have any ideas about a setting in 2008 parameters or DBSRVR parameters I missed?

Thanks.

Etienne.

Is it a problem if the client is using version 4.30 and the server 4.31?

Now I have the same version on both side: server and client, and the problem is still. The web answer is very very slow.

Are you sure that the problem is with the database access itself ?  Unless
something environmental (AV software, hot backup software) is interfering
with the ability of the DBISAM Database Server to read/write data normally,
there should be nothing different about 2008 Server that will cause this
type of slowdown.

Is the data directly on the drives of the 2008 server machine ?
