No. That facility is available in ElevateDB but not DBISAM >if not is there any idea how to share the same database between different locations which are far from each other ? You'll have to write your own code. Is there one master site or can both enter data? If so its a bigger problem. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

SQLStudent | thank you very much for your fast replaying i have the following qustions, please
>>if there is one master site what is the solution? >> if the two sites enter the information... what is the solution ? >> is there any way for the two site to enter the information on one DB by using some technology over the Internet? |

Simply copy the table files from the master site to the other site at intervals >>> if the two sites enter the information... what is the solution ? The simplest solution would be to buy ElevateDB and use its inbuilt facilities. If you want to do it yourself you have to design a mechanism to identify which changes have been made at which site and pass them to the other site ensuring you don't overwrite a change that's been made there. Its a non-trivial undertaking. >>> is there any way for the two site to enter the information on one DB by using some technology >over the Internet? Since you posted this on the c/s ng I assumed you'd already know this. DO you know how to set up a server in DBISAM? If so the same techniques can be used over the internet.
