Very long time DBISAM user, first post.
I have an application where a local workstation hosts both a running copy of the application (point of sale) and the database. It communicates with the database via 127.0.0.1 on port 12005. The remote workstation hosts the same application (only) and reaches the server via remote IP on port 12005 also. Is there any performance advantage to using a second dbsrvr instance on the local workstation listening to the remote on a different port (ex. 22005)?

Emory,

No there isn't - your setup is correct.
