Multiple dbsrvr instances as NT Service |

Norman Rorke | I assume the answer is NO but I'm asking anyway with the hope that I am wrong.
Is it possible to run more than 1 instances of the server as an NT Service. If the answer is no, can this be achieved by re-compiling the server and changing some NT Service related parameters ? |

David | Hi Norman.
I am not certain as I have never done it but I believe this is possible as long as the service is using a different port than the other instance and I would guess also has a different exe name. Regards David. Norman Rorke wrote: I assume the answer is NO but I'm asking anyway with the hope that I am wrong. Is it possible to run more than 1 instances of the server as an NT Service. Norman Rorke | Hi David
Thanks for you input. I recompiled the server with some changes and so far everything seems to work as expected. I had to modify the following parameters to get it to work : ServerName, exe name, AdminPort, MainPort. Hi Norman. We have been running multiple servers (up to 4 in our case) for years this way and it works fine. Raul |

<< Is it possible to run more than 1 instances of the server as an NT Service. >> Sure, this is covered in the manual here: https://www.elevatesoft.com/manual?action=viewtopic&id=dbisam4&product=rsdelphiwin32&version=10R&topic=Configuring_Starting_Server (at the very bottom of the topic).
