No error at all, the client just reports no new emails. But looking at the mail.dat shows they were at least received by the server. -AJ Marknette |

<< Yes, but not right away seems delayed for a second or two. >> Wow, that's odd. It should be immediate if you're on a LAN or the same machine. Is there any firewall in-between the two ? << No error at all, the client just reports no new emails. Is that correct ? How many mail accounts do you have defined ? Is it possible that you're checking the wrong account for the emails ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I'm sending the email from Outlook via Exchange from my desktop PC, The Inet Server is getting the email I'm seeing it appear in the DB and I have spam filtering off. And the Test client (Thunderbird) in on the same machine as the server. When I get a chance I'll enable logging and see what TB is sending/getting from the server. > > So, you can see the POP3 connection show up and then go away on the > database server, and the client reports that there aren't any new > emails even though there are some present. I'll give it another go this afternoon, but if it fails Ill go to our QA lab and hook up to their network and test. I'm sure you have more pressing matter's to attend too (ElevateDB) Thanks. -AJ Marknette -- |

WhenI used OE I had no problems recieving emials. However sending fails. But I"m no worried to much on that because I only need to test inbound Pop3 scanning. Thanks for everyones suggestions. -AJ Marknette |

It looks like TB is sending the TOP command, which your sever doesn't support. I ended up adding it my self so I could test with it. When I get a chance I'll rebundle it and post it back to attachments. -AJ Marknette |
