Has anyone managed to customise the tool palette and got it to stick?

I'm trying to create some new categories and move some of the common 3rd party components into them (eg all buttons) and it keeps on reverting to the way it was when the components were installed.

Advice (or the best Borland ng to post on) gratefully received before I go totally round the bend with my 23rd attempt to get it to do what I want not what it wants.

Failing that anyone want to buy a hardly used copy of D2006 Smiley

Roy,

I've dabbled with some changes.  They seem to stick for me.
At what point do you find them reverting?

Are you changing projects?

I'm not 100% sure. I keep thinking I've got it then it reverts. I'm pretty sure I managed to get it to stick between changing projects at least a couple of times, and between closing down the machine and restarting it and between closing D2006 and reopening it.

I thought I'd got it so I Ghosted my PC and then when I restarted things it had reverted yet again.

I quite like the palette down the side but not if I have to live with a load of categories with one component in.

More research (for which read anguish, annoyance and elevated blood pressure) this morning leads me to think it may have to do with saving the desktop. A totally counter intuitive action!

Since I have the source for most of the small fry I'm going to go and edit their registration procedure - see if that fixes it.
