If the above is true then church leaders around the world
should set the record straight. I have long since given up
the whole religon gig and gone for the evolution gig.

And I try to save my children from starting with that stuff - just like
cigarettes, it's not easy for everyone to quit later Smile

The chances are better with us thant with people who think that something is
right because it suits their believings. Centuries ago, Immanuel Kant (who
started the Enlightment, using your reason solely as a too to decide what's
right and what's wrong) wrote "Perpetual Peace" and showed logically how it
could be done. Btw, that leaded to the League of Nationes, which became the
U.N. Not perfect yet, yes.

Btw, using the reason (or is rationality the better term?) leads to funny
insights. In Iraq, about 50 people are dying every day, and the USA invests
unbelieveable amounts of money and man-power in that area/project/you name
it. In Kongo, about 1000 people are dying in the same 24 hours. And it's
proven that there is no need for WMD to start a genocide in such an
environment. Ok, not really funny.
