But moving in another country to avoid them would be a little bit extreme. Ralf |

"Trev" | Roy,
I believe that even in the US such things as unsolicited eMail are unlawful. Both the US and Germany have very sucessful economies yet still respect privacy. I don't know the answer but I am sure there is one. <<I believe that even in the US such things as unsolicited eMail are unlawful. Both the US and Germany have very sucessful economies yet still respect privacy>> But have you noticed which countries have the biggest spammers? I'll give you a clue it consists of several states which are united. In the UK we have a law against unsolicited spam and also have the Telephone Preference Service which allows domestic phone owners to register their number as not wanting unsolicited selling calls. I've received two cold calls myself today. In both cases the people listened and took no for an answer. That I don't mind whilst I'm at work. After all we all have to make a living someway. That would have been a good guess apart from the fact that I said united - the EU consists of several states that are disunited Roy Lambert |

No way here: you don't have to look for not being disturbed. > I've received two cold calls myself today. In both cases the people > listened and took no for an answer. Do something, or don't, but then don't complain. If I can make money by not respecting my customers, then I am in deep shit. And calling someone who knows nothing about me just to sell something is, imho, disrespectful. They can send me ad via mail. I can look at them when I want, I can simply throw them away. A phone call grabs my attention, and throws me out of my work flow. Ralf |
