Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I know this is nothing to do with DBISAM but you're such a clever lot!
A while ago I altered my network (3 PCs) to all WinXP. Operations through programs (eg Word or using a DBISAM app) are just as fast as ever. HOWEVER, if I use Windows Explorer to access files to copy or delete it takes ages. Any thoughts, suggestions, links? Roy Lambert |

<< Any thoughts, suggestions, links? >> Do you only have TCP/IP as the network protocol on each machine ? That would be the first place I would look. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Yup - TCP/IP only - I got used to deleting NetBUI and IPX/SPX back in the W98 days The 3 PCs used to be W2K, W2K, XP and I didn't have any trouble now with all XP I do. Maybe Vista will cure it all, maybe pigs WILL learn to fly Roy Lambert |
