Hi Guys,

I have been noticeably absent from the NG for a while. Work has been hectic
after a company takeover, and I have been frantically preparing for a
long-planned holiday in Vietnam. Anyway the day has finally arrived and I
set of tonight. I have 5 weeks of sightseeing, trekking, eating and drinking
to look forward to. SmileI'll check-in on my return.

Best regards

Wow, I'm jealous. Smiley Ever since I saw an Anthony Bourdain (chef) show
where he sampled the cuisine of Vietnam, I've wanted to go there.  Singapore
is another place that I'd love to visit.

Have a good time !

Funny old thing food, we have a food program running now
on telly called Hells Kitchen.
A top chef gives minor celebs some basic training and the
food is served up to freeloading celebs. Last night the chef
changed the menu to more traditional English food like steak
and kindney pie fish pie and so on eveyone who ate enjoyed
it so much I think I will open an English resturant yummie grub.

Rita,
Is it true that Brits will put custard on just about anything? Got
any examples?

Oh yes, we have that in the US also.  It's very entertaining, but my
favorite show is Kitchen Nightmares on the BBC America channel.  It's also
coming to the US next year so Ramsay can check out US restaurants instead.
Apparently a lot of fireworks there - the previews showed a big guy chasing
Ramsay down the street. Smiley

This new series is Marco Pierre White he is not as vocal
as Ramsey. I would love to punch Ramsey in the chops
tho, his brother just got 10 years in far east for drugs.

Interesting, I would like to see that.  Sometimes Ramsay gets to be a little
"over the top". Smiley

Interesting. Smiley
