Thread Best glyph viewer?
Mon, Jul 16 2007 3:35 PMPermanent Link

David
I'm a big proponent of purchasing high quality commercial glyphs to use in
my applications.  Everything looks much better, is more consistent, and one
the glyphs are purchased there are no more costs.

Currently I am using Scot's Software GlyphViewer.  It has a few small bugs
and it hasn't been updated since the initial release in 2000.

Are there any better options out there?

Glyfx does good work but interestingly enough, I went with glypz.com for all
of my glyphs.  I think I own all of their releases and their large format
icons at well.

I may have been a bit vague.  I'm looking for a program to browse glyphs.
Like a catalog program to browse and select glyphs.

Free to customers that is...

Look at your email from them where they told you how to d/l a library
and the links to the viewer should be in the email.

Salutations,

Ahh, thanks.  I just checked their site and I see it now.

I've purchased all of glyfz's products, except for the new vista toolbar
icons, and the viewer info isn't included in any of their emails.

Time to send an email.  Smile

IIRC, I've tried it, and I still use Scot's. I wish Scot had made the
source available as it would have been good to fix the little issues.

If you look on borland third-party newsgroups for this, I asked about it,
and there was another that you might find useful. I didn't take to it, but
maybe you will.
