Professional icons and glyphs.

I used to use glyphs from the public domain and they looked like they were
designed that way.

After getting frustrated and tired by continually looking for just the right
glyph (and never finding it).  After a while, I finally bit the bullet and
bought a full set from glyfz.com.  Quick disclosure:  I will be speaking
about purchases mostly from glyfx.com because that is where I purchased most
of my glyphs.  There are a ton of other places to purchase high quality
glyphs and icons.  I just thought glyfx were as high quality as the others
yet much cheaper.

I started off with the standard set and then went with an office 2003
version.  I purchased this set from ionworx
http://www.ionworx.com/icons.html

Having a consistent and professional look through the use of high quality
glyphs makes a huge difference.  Finding the exact glyphs that is needed
really does help convey the intended meaning.  Better still, the glyphs come
in different sizes so the glyph can stay consistent no matter if it is in a
button, dialog, listbox, or any other control.

Glyfx released glyphs in 128x128 and I modified those to use as icons.

A bonus of purchasing professional icons and glyphs is the ability to use
those same icons in a professional looking website and documentation.

I think that purchasing professional icons and glyphs are well worth the
money.  Well, except for those that are prohibitively expensive.  Smile

Indeed.  We couldn't have done the ElevateDB Manager interface without them.

I've used Glyfx for a long time and have pretty much the whole catalog.
Great products and definately improve the GUI.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that these can be used
with the AtoZed Intraweb product (and ditto for the TMS IW component set).
Pity.

I didn't buy a lot of sets from Glyfx  (I'm on a retiree budget Frown)
but the ones I did buy are very nice and certainly improve the
look of my apps.
