Thread KBMMW/DBISAM 4/EDB

I was just wondering if anyone had a preference when using KBMMW with DBISAM
or EDB.  The main question is to go through the database server or to access
the data directly?  In any installation, I would only have one KBMMW server.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi,

Modestly i would suggest you to always to go thru kbmMW. As everyone will
always go thru kbmMW in your setup, your database dont as such have to be
able to allow others to access it directly, why you simply need to choose
the fastest (and safest) method to access the database.

Yes, definitely going through the kbmMW server.  The question was the choice
of paths to the data from the kbmMW server.
1-> kbmMW -> DBISAM/EDB Server -> Data Tables
2->kbmMW -> Data Tables via direct access

Bill

Hi,

I cant say for sure if its faster to go thru the EDB Server or directly to
the datatables, but I would think the later.
You may however still need to ensure you have the correct multiuser db
license in place.
Tim will have to chime in.
