"Rita" | These things r so easy to put together they
aint true. I bought an external enclosure for an old laptop that had died long ago, I then bought a 3.5 IDE version as I was impressed then a sata one came out and my brain was thinking if that can run a sata drive from a USB connection on an IDE based machine could I daisy chain them and the answer was yes. I use this guy as a supplier in the UK look at his enclosures and pay attention to some of his cables with power supplies. http://www.usbnow.co.uk/ He sells a 2TB version for 500 quid plus others. Mine runs 2 x 120gb sata drives 1 x 2.5 in 40 gb 3 x 80gb IDE all my drives are switchable but dont need to be I just did it for my use from old bits I was junking. Plus my boot sale trips I find cheap drives but unlike some off my husbands mates I havent found any decent software. Them boxes are well worth getting tho Roy 2TB of DAT files networked CSA maybe Rita "Roy Lambert" <roy.lambert@skynet.co.uk> wrote in message news:591E19C1-0A81-4336-8608-898D4556774F@news.elevatesoft.com... > Anyone > > Have any knowledge/experience? > > http://www.freecom.com/objects/00011427.pdf > > Roy Lambert > > |
