Hello!

Does anyone know ... may I use DBISAM in applications built using ECO?

Hi

Maybe my question was not good ... clear ...

I try to ask better ... sorry my "english" ...

From Delphi 2006 Professional Borland says:
The Professional edition also provides basic database connectivity and select ECO
framework features.
Local database connectivity for Borland InterBase,® dBase,® Paradox,® ADO, MySQL,® MSDE,®
and Access.
Basic object-relational mapping and transparent local xml object persistence features.
Win32, Microsoft .NET, and ASP.NET support.

Is there support for local DBISAM OR mapping, so that I could build apps with ECO III
using DBISAM as database of the application?
Is that support already or coming in near future?

Greetings
Pena

Pena,

I'll have to look into it, but my first guess is that it uses the DBExpress
stuff so that would exclude DBISAM.  However, to answer your question - this
type of support will not be appearing until after ElevateDB is done, so I
wouldn't expect it until late summer (giving plenty of time for ElevateDB to
shake out and settle down).
