"Ralf Mimoun" | Thomas,
beside the answers to your questions: PLEASE don't put files in groups other than .binaries. And it's not that helpful to post whole screenshots. Ralf |

Its more from a point of wasting bandwidth - there's still a lot of people on dialup and even a 170Kb image, unless its necessary, is an imposition. If its needed I don't see any problem with small images (but then I'm on ADSL) but I'd say this one wasn't needed. Roy Lambert |

I quite agree, since although I've been enjoying ADSL-Max at 800kb/s for the last few months, since Friday afternoon I'm still on ADSL but at 400 BYTES/sec average! I've had to interrupt every message with an attachment for the last 3 days, usually after about 20 seconds of waiting :-/ -- Chris |

ADSL-Max at 800Kb - I'd say they're taking a liberty with the name! Roy Lambert ps what do you mean by "interrupt"? |

Chris Erdal | Roy,
> ADSL-Max at 800Kb - I'd say they're taking a liberty with the name! don't get me wrong - I mean 800 kilobytes /sec, not kilobits, i.e. 30 Mbytes in 40 seconds or so. Fast enough for most of my needs! > ps what do you mean by "interrupt"? > Using Xnews (see http://xnews.newsguy.com), if a message doesn't arrive fast enough I hit Esc and a pop-up asks me if I want to stop downloading it. Very handy at 50-200 bytes / sec which what I'm at just now. -- Chris |

OK that is a bit better I looked at Xnews before writing TMaN but didn't notice that feature, and since I download in the background with my slooow adsl connection I'm not too bothered. Your website is quite fascinating - you have to get more on there to catch up with your brothers - I mean a VAT calculator Roy Lambert |
