Thread Problem with Filter/SQL
Fri, Mar 17 2006 6:51 AMPermanent Link

Ricardo Oliveira
Hi!

I have a problem with this SQL:

"Select Field1 from Table1 where Field1=-1"

where FIELD1 type is Word.

I was expecting the query to return zero rows or DBISAM to throw an
exception, yet the query returns every record where FIELD1 = 0.
Filtering the table also returns the same result.

Is this the expected behavior or is it a bug?

What version of DBISAM are you using?

Ricardo,

It's a bug.  A new build will be going out Monday and a fix for this will be
included.

Actually, one small revision - this has been pushed forward to Friday due to
some outstanding issues that I forgot still needed addressing.

Sean,

Don't get me started - that guy is a first-class tool. Frown I hate people
that try to simplify life into little inspirational sound-bites in order to
make money, which is why the self-loathing kicked in when I did just that in
that other thread with Rita.

Couldn't agree more - I don't think he deserved his 1st 15
minutes of fame and certainly don't get why it has lasted so
long. I just wish he would stop showing up everywhere and
stay confined to miserable daytime tv. Frown
