Make Delphi WAAAY faster.  Get this and install it yesterday - free with source!

Cross posted to here and general discussion.  It's just tooo good.

This works in D5,,6,7,8,2005,2006.  Prepare for warp speed.  Loading/code completion etc.
super fast.  Even the dreaded pause in D2006 when going from code to design tabs has been
banished.  This is without doubt my new bestest friend.  Everything in D7/D2006 (so far
tested) is boggling faster.

Find it here.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for that. Can you tell me how to implement it against Microsoft
Applications as well?  They also need speeding up. Wink

Cheers

Adam.

Hi Graham,

I installed it yesterday after reading your post, and have to say my
experience is quite different to yours Frown.. made virtually no difference
with D7 and has slowed down D2006 significantly.

Steve,

I'm gobsmacked.  I could understand if the differences were subtle but, they're huge.
There is absolutely no downside at all for me.

On my machine (Dothan Cored Centrino 1.8ghz, 1g ram) the difference is the same as going
from a 486 to a Pentium.  Seriously.  It's like my processor just got bumped up by a
complete generation.  The differences are the same on both IDE's for me as well.

I'm using WinXP Pro SP2 updated with all current MS patches.  Don't know what else could
be causing me to get such benefit and you to see the opposite.

Sorry your mileage varied so badly Frown

Cheers,
Graham W.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the reply. Based on the rave review DSU is getting everywhere I'm
sure the problem is at my end .. I just hope I can sort it out coz the
initial load of D2006 is a dog (and BTW, I'm only loading a single
personality)

> I'm using WinXP Pro SP2 updated with all current MS patches.

Likewise.

I'll report back here if I am able to resolve the problem.

I don't know if you two have noticed but D2006 seems to have such a wide range of experiences (read loads of different problems) for everyone its not surprising that two people get different results.

It may have to do with things like having code insight, together etc loaded or not.

As a guess they're getting us ready for Delphi to be bought by M$ - you all know how weird that software is Smiley

Hi Roy,

I am generally happy with the performance of BDS2006 (with all enhancements
switched on), except for the load time, .. but DelphiSpeedUp did exactly the
opposite for me (and I just installed and tried V1.69 too)

Hmmm, .. you know how to depress a guy Wink

Hi Graham,

Just installed V1.7 on my home machine and BDS2006 loadtime (Win32
personality) went from 58 seconds down to 22 seconds!! Swapping between code
and design view is way faster too! Success at last Wink

With v1.7, (if you've got ReportBuilder) right click on a tppReport and click on the
'Report Designer...' popup-menu item.  Bang!  Don't you hate that Smile

Now, there's no such problems for me with v1.65.  Even if they don't improve past v1.65,
I'll still be happy.
