Has DBISAM any function/procedure to get the local IP address or have I to
use Winsock or similar units?

Just in case DBISAM doesnt have one you can use the Indy Component
TIDIpWatch.

  ipwatch.Active := TRUE;
  ipwatch.ForceCheck;
   if DataUpdate.ipwatch.CurrentIP  = '' then
       ShowMessage('NOIP')
else
       ShowMessage('Your IP is' + DataUpdate.ipwatch.CurrentIP  );

I have a Delphi unit that will get you a list of both the internal and
external IP addresses.  I didn't want to send it unsolicited, so just let me
know if you want it and I'll send it your way.
