Thread Corrupted table
Sun, Jun 4 2006 12:42 PMPermanent Link

"Trailways"
During an update, i had a table get corrupt. It no longer has the data
in it.  But I have a .dbk, ibk, .idx, and .blb of the file. So I took
the dbk file and made it a .dat file, by changing the extension on it.
And then tried to open that file, well I received an error # 8961
Header information corrupt in Customer Table.  I tried to use the
utility to repair the file, it begins the repair, and then it seems to
lockup and shuts down the dbsys after a short while.

1. Can I do anything with the .dbk, ibx files?

2. And also how can I repair that file.

Any help will be appreciated.

Did you try repairing the table ?  What did the repair log say was wrong
with the table ?

You need to also copy over the .ibk and .bbk portions of the table, or you
will still have issues.
