Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I know I'm not allowed to ask about feature sets etc but I just wondered is ElevateDB still dependant on TDataSet or are you totally divorced from dependencies on DevCo's code now?

<< I know I'm not allowed to ask about feature sets etc but I just wondered is ElevateDB still dependant on TDataSet or are you totally divorced from dependencies on DevCo's code now? >> It's okay to ask now, it's almost done and you'll see it in person soon enough. As for the question, the answer is yes and no. Yes, it still uses the TDataSet architecture in Delphi/BCB/Kylix, but no, it doesn't need it at all and can be used directly in an ADO.NET data provider, for example, without any references to any of the DB units that come with Delphi. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
