Thread DBIsam 3.30 C/S 11276 error when using DynDNS.org and the admin tool

Hello,

I use DynDNS.Org.

When trying to connect to the databse with the Admin tool I get an 11276
error.
Here's the screenshot of my settings. Am I doing something wrong ?
I use RemObject on same Adress (but with port 8099 instead of 12005 and
12006. the 3 ports have been opened) and it workd fine.
any idea ?  If I use 127.0.0.1 as IP adress it works fine of course...

is there something wrong on my settings ?

Thanks

John

Drop the http:// portion of the host name. I use DynDNS and it works
fine. I use the "dynalias.com" domain and mine looks like:
mydomain.dynalias.com

Note that there is no http://  The local IP of 127.0.0.1 will work of
course, because it is not going out to the Internet to make a
connection.

Second, upon checking DynDNS, the domain name in the screen shot of
your message DOES NOT have cyncns.org as one of the domains available.
Is that a typo or did you do that so we don't know yourDynDNS alias?

Both of the above could be reasons you are not connecting.

John,

What port are you using for the admin port on the database server ?  Is that
port accessible through whatever firewall that you're using on the server
machine ?

John,

<< yes this port is open.  >>

Well, I'm afraid that there's not much more I can recommend from here.
Something is preventing DBISAM from connecting to that port, and the key is
to find out what.
