sync ing two databases |

Jerry Blumenthal | Is there a way to synchronize two DBIsam databases without a lot of code?
One of my customers asked me about some expensive programs that say they do database synchronization, and I know nothing about them, so I thought I'd ask. Just to be sure I have asked the question properly- The two databases would have the exact same structure. Records would be added to each independently of the other, and other records would be edited. Then, they would be merged somehow, so that records that did not cause a conflict were simply added (there might be a need to create new unique record identifiers), and those that did cause a conflict would be handled one way or the other depending on user preference. If all of this has been discussed to death, please just refer me to the proper archives. Jerry |

Hopefully he will see this and respond too. I used a earlier freeware version of the DBISAM extensions for a now defunct system that used database sync ing.
