Thread Error 11276 when using EngineSignature
Thu, Nov 30 2006 12:08 AMPermanent Link

"Adam H."
Hi,

I've recompiled the DBISam Server setting my own EngineSignature in the
TServerEngine component.

However, now, whenever I try to connect to it (using either the DBSYS or
DBSVRADMIN utilities, I'm getting the error #11276 - The connection to the
database at server 127.0.0.1 has been lost.

It doesn't matter if I try it on other computers, I still get the same
error.

Thanks & Regards

Adam.

Have you recompiled those with your new sig?

Roy is correct - you'll have to recompile the utilities using your custom
engine signature also.

Hi Tim and Roy,

Thanks for your reply.

This thought did cross my mind, but couldn't find an engine component in the
svradmin application. (So I assumed, incorrectly that it wasn't required).
Should I just dump an engine component on the form?

Thanks & Regards

Adam.

Yep, that will work.
