Hi Tim

Sorry again for asking this type of questions too soon; Have you consider
supporting this new release of Delphi? and for What DB Engine?

Regards

Carlos

Communication between PHP and DBISAM / ElevateDB could be through ODBC.

Or you could use the native PHP client in kbmMW Spider product as a layer
between PHP and your database:

What Uffe says is correct - you'll need to use the ODBC support in PHP to
access DBISAM and EDB (when the ODBC driver is available).

I've just been to a really exciting CodeGear seminary on Delphi for PHP. I am a long time
Delphi / Pascal developer do most of my work on Windows applications, but am now working
more on web-stuff.

Delphi for PHP is a fantastic (if still a _bit_ under-developed) IDE for PHP from what I
can tell, after just a few days looking around it. I have down loaded the free trial & its
great. It is also quite cheap, which is a big plus in my book.

PHP seems to be a good new language for the web, object oriented & open source. The guys
at CodeGear are developing a good component heirarchy for it ... including some base data
components which they claim are easy to re-engineer to your own db back end.

It would be just fantastic to be able to buy DBISAM components that could simply integrate
straight into it, as the whole application works with a component-based architecture, just
like "normal" Delphi.

I also think it could be a good new market for the products.

I hope you'll think about it ... at least keep track of whether the product is selling &
consider implementation if it gets above a certain level of success.

We're always open to new avenues for our products, and are looking at
FreePascal and Chrome currently as two more implementations for ElevateDB.
However, if a port for PHP is somewhat involved, then it may or may not be
something that we do with DBISAM.  Rather, it would most likely occur with
ElevateDB.  If the port is fairly easy, then it may be something that we
would consider for DBISAM also.

Actually...   with ODBC, you should, in theory, be able to deal with DBISAM.
