Zero footprint install. USB drives are now 4gb at around $100 or less. 8gb USB drives are out now too. It's great for demoing the software. Dave |

No news for me One of our systems is running on relatively huge servers: dual xeons with RAID5 (I told them that I only need a computer from a discounter, maybe dualcore with 1 GB RAM, but such companies need to spend money). Exactly the same thing runs on a USB drive for demos. USB drives are great because the access time is negligible. But the throughput is not that good, my stripe set together with that cache software beat them hands down. Ralf |
