Thread Asta

I've signed up for a project to modify an app that is using Asta for the
data access over the internet. I'm happy that Asta is sensible, but would
like to gain better control over the data on the server. I see that Asta
has code for a DBISAM version of some module or other (the exe seems
unavailable). Is anyone using this code? Is it good?

All thoughts on this welcome - I'm at the stage I can change anything.

Hello Matthew,

The server code is available on the Asta site (no strings)
http://www.astatech.com/products/asta3/

It depends how it was implemented.  We customize our server however a person
can leave it as is and put more on the client-side.
There are loads of features at either end Smile  See Asta PDF Help as well
documented.
We're using DBISAM 4 latest release.

Donat.

Thanks - I've yet to read the PDF I printed yesterday, but it looks
comprehensive.
