Hi,

We encountered the following problem:

(delphi 7, DBIsam 4.24 build 1, Quickrep pro 4.06, XP)

We have a application, in which there are several reports. One of those
reports (and several others) is is made using a TdbisamQuery component ans
some TdbisamTable components for lookup purposes.

With one of our customers the report will not be shown (Preview), but in the
middle of the genereation of the report there occurs an error=11013 on the
temporary table that the dbisam engine makes in the PrivateDir (like
33200.tbl and 33200.tdt and 332000.tix).

If I use the backup of this customer and start the app. and run the report
all things go well, I'll get the complete report without errors.

What could be the problem here ?

regards

Erik

Tim,

thanks,

but this article is about .dat, .idx and .blb but the temp. tables have
extensions .tbl, .tdt and .tix.
Does it mean that I can let them Norton make exceptions to scan on al siz
extensions ( or perhaps not to scan the privatedir ) ?

Did you write the application that generates the report(s) ?  DBISAM allows
you to change the extension for the various table files, hence the different
extensions.

Tim,

Yes, I did write the appl. so I can change the extensions.
What extensions would you prefer for the temporary tables?

I don't want you to change the extensions - I was just asking because they
were non-standard. Smiley

As for the issue, you might have to tell NAV to not scan the private
directory at all if it is still causing issues with the new file extensions.
