Tim;
I called Buffalo to go all the way. What do I know? Thewy had the
numbers and looked great.
Walter Matte called it right so far. I did have get behind Ottawa in
the last round, being canadian and all.
Got to say a couple of times there, Buffalo put on several hockey
clinics, and I have to be honest, it wasn't consistent.

I still don't know why Detroit is in the western conference ,
geographically speaking. But it will be a great match up in the final
whomever Ottawa plays.
go sens go Smile

I think they suffered from high expectations and an inability to play as a
team like they did last year.  Needless to say, the whole thing sucked. Smiley

I'm still waiting to see what happens.  If Detroit wins, then I'm rooting
for Ottawa, otherwise I'm rooting for Anaheim.

I still play with a group of guys every Sunday morning for two hours
(year-round, in fact).  We sweat our ****s off and the ice is crap, but
we're still out there. Smiley

We actually played at HSBC Arena last year.  I'll have to see if I can dig
up a photo of me in my gear on the bench so you guys can get a good laugh.

My son plays in a roller hockey league here in Southern New Mexico. He's
plays goal in full pads, helmet, gobbler etc. The league plays on an
outdoor, unshaded concrete slab. The playoff games just finished last
weekend. This year wasn't bad but the year before the final game was at
noon on a 100 degree F day. Talk about sweat... He has to keep his
hockey gear on the back porch. Keeps the bugs away...

Tim;
Good for you, for the exercise, hockey is great. I do get hockey-ed out
in June. The finals are played later and later. I like the idea of
baseball where you win the pennant and advance. Hockey only drops what 6
teams, I believe. Now this is economics, of course, there are no 50K
arenas out there.  The owners really make all of their money, post
regular season.

Btw
go sens go (~_~)

Ouch, that's much, much worse.  He must lose at least 5 pounds every game in
water loss alone !?!

As for hockey gear - yeah, that stuff can get nasty quick.  I run my gear
through the washer with bleach (especially gloves and shin pads) at least
once every 4-6 months.  The rest of the time I just put it on a rack to dry
immediately after playing.  Some guys leave their stuff in their hockey bag
for days or weeks and it is just foul. Smiley

Absolutely.  Frankly, I wasn't totally bummed out about the Sabres being
out.  Two years of going deep in the playoffs starts to wear on you.  I
split season tickets with another guy, and even 20 games + playoff games is
a lot of games to attend with work, etc. to contend with.

Yep, that's the sad part.  Hopefully the revenue sharing will help a bit,
but they mainly need to get better TV deals.

<< go sens go (~_~) >>

Bahhh !!! Smiley
