Thread RAD Studio 2007, Delphi 2007

Is there any meaningful difference between these? I ask as on a build
machine (VM) I have Delphi 2007, and on my main PC I have the full RAD
Studio. Since they are really "the same", I wonder why there are two
downloads. Actually, a silly thought - is there no benefit in combining
some of these?

"Walter Matte"

For Win32 development they are the same.

If you only need Win32... just use D2007 and not install the additional
personalities and .NET.

So RAD Studio is D2007 (Win32) + .Net. and personalities (C++)

Ah, but there are different downloads for DBISAM, and neither includes
..Net support. It is specifically the DBISAM downloads I'm asking about the
differences for.

Matthew,

<< Is there any meaningful difference between these? >>

No.  The only reason that we did it that way is because CodeGear decided to
pre-release Delphi 2007 and force us to spend a lot of time on a new product
support release, only to change it again just a few months later.  I'll be
pulling the Delphi 2007 downloads shortly.

TVM. And to confirm, the RAD Studio 2007 install is good for the "plain
old" D2007.

As far as I know, yes.  The RAD Studio 2007 install overwrites D2007, so I
assume that the two are one and the same.
