Thread Support Plan v NewsGroup

Hi,

When you subscribe to the DBISAM Support Plan and you need help, how
do you go about getting it? By this I mean:

- do you ask yourself first if its a Support Plan OR newsgroup
question?  OR
- do you email support @ ElevateSoft since you now have the 'Support
Plan'  OR
- do you post to the newsgroup as you used to do

If help questions are emailed to ElevateSoft is the DBISAM information
in the newsgroups going to diminish?

I am not talking about taking/not taking out the Support Plan, I am
talking about getting help once you have a Support Plan.

Regards,
Pat

It depends upon your needs.  If you need an immediate response or it's an
emergency, then call us directly.  If it can wait for 12-16 hours (at the
most, due to time zone differences), but needs an official response, send us
an email.  If you don't need an official response, but have a question
regarding usage, etc. you can just post on the newsgroups.  If you're not
sure, just err on the side of caution and use the email or phone support.
If it is something that we think is better answered here on the newsgroups,
we'll direct you to post your question here instead.

Nah.  I'm still around here and there's always good questions that don't
need immediate, official responses that will be posted here.  We'll always
try to clear up any issues with our products, regardless of how they are
reported.

The main benefits of the support plans are:

- Access to all minor releases and the feature improvements they contain

- Direct and immediate support in situations where you need an official
response or some "hands-on" guidance regarding an issue
