Charalabos Michael | Hello Lucian,
> Is anything like that on the table? If yes, any timeframe? You move to Delphi 2009 and still want to use DBISAM(=ANSI) ... Not a wise decision ... -- Charalabos Michael - [Creation Power] - http://www.creationpower.gr |

Charalabos Michael | Hello Lucian,
> Hey, I'm also using Vista I do too and after SP1 & around 400+ POST-SP1 patches it's finally fast & solid! Can't wait to get sp2 beta Anyhow, Delphi 2009(Unicode) & DBISAM(Ansi) -> Performance loss ... Now, why you don't give your customers the best of the best ? IOW, Delphi 2009 & EDB v2 Unicode ... -- Charalabos Michael - [Creation Power] - http://www.creationpower.gr |

Farshad, << Is it possible to make a version of DBISAM which works under D2009 but without the Unicode abilities. i.e. we will be able to use it as long as we don't go beyond Ansi character set. >> Yes, we will be doing a version of DBISAM for Delphi 2009. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com </Quote> <Quote> 7 Oct 2008 Benjamin, << when is the Version for Delphi 2009 ready? >> It will be ready within the next couple of weeks. "Lucian Radulescu" | My point is EDB does not have TEDB...Table.AlterTable method and
without it I can not upgrade. I have my own code that restructures tables based on a schema file. It is heavily based on AlterTable and I use this system in all my apps. I don't think it's imposible for me to update my code, but frankly, I work ~12/7 and can't see any chances for enough spare time to do that, for at least another 8-10 months. regards, Lucian |
