We seem to get 'BLOB Buffer Corruption' constantly now. If the user saved
data to a memo text field with a null '0' value in the contents would this
cause the problem?

Do you have any information as to the context in which you're seeing the
error ?  IOW, is it during a particular operation in your application ?  And
did you try repairing the table(s) that are experiencing the error to see if
there is any physical corruption ?

No, that should not cause such a problem.
