Hi,

Is there a way in V3.30 of DBISAM to keep the trailing space when saving to
a string field?

I can't remember that far back wether DBSIAM had varchar & char fields. Varchar certainly did a right trim on string fields so unless you have the source no.

Depending on why you want it (and possibly character sets) you can cheat and use a #160 which for me is a "hard space" ie looks just like #32

Not without changing the source code, no.  DBISAM 4.x allows you to do so by
using a ftFixedChar field instead.
