Thread How to perform wildcard search using a Table?

Hi Roy,
This is a bit off target, but my brain is not working today and thought someone here
might help. I have totally forgotten how to use Database Desktop. I'm trying to use
Database Desktop to enter a query on a Paradox table. Maybe I'm spoiled with DbSys but
there otta be a way to enter the SQL in Database Desktop.

Here's what I tried.
1) Run Database Desktop and selected File > New QBE Query.
2) Then I selected the Paradox table in the dialog window.
3) Now I'm greeted with a small "Query:<untitled>" window where it looks like I select the
columns. I select all the columns and press F8 to execute it.

Ok, the rows from the table appears. But where do I enter the SQL statement or change the
sort order? It looks so lame compared to DbSys. So what am I missing here?

TIA
Brent

I hope someone can help you, but its not going to be me. Its so long since I opened the database desktop I don't even remember where it is, and that assumes its installed.

John & Roy,
Yeah, all of our memories are fading. A good thing too. After spending an hour with
Database Desktop I was getting flashbacks of what things were like before DBISAM and they
are much like root canal without anaesthesia! LOL

Database Desktop is quite lame and it is easier if I just write a simple Delphi form and
process the SQL myself. Thanks.
