Tim in DBSYS where did u hide the piece of code for
exporting to text files.
I have converted an old file that contains commas in one
of the string fields them commas are for people like me
to make my life hard when stealing ;-(

It ends up looking like below when I export it.

-0990,0880,"AnyStreet, Leeds,  West Yorkshire"

I want to take the " out so that it looks like below when I export it.

-0990,0880,  AnyStreet, Leeds,  Wesst Yorkshire

I know a text editor can do it but it takes forever on huge files.

As u can see from above it exports only 3 fields it needs to
be 5 fields. So if I remove the " and just leave the , it will work
fine but the trouble is in the export to text it adds the " as it should
but for hackin I dont need it. [Winkall the time.

ExportTable is part of the main source (not dbsys).  It is in dbisamen.pas
if you are brave enough to change it Smiley

Thanks John I didnt need to I forgot about Notepad++ it
ate all the """"""""""""""  quicker than my text ed, and its free.
As for brave enough it is scary in there so I will leave it Wink
I just hope the table I have on its way with zillions of records
doesnt need any editing before its converted to DBIsam.
