hi,

I noticed that when I installed the latest dbisam4 into delphi 2010
that the dbisam429r2010r.bpl was placed into c:\program
files\Emarcadero\RAD Studio\7.0\bin directory.

I find that odd that it would be put there.  Is this the correct place
it's meant to go?

While i'm not using 2010 it looks about right.

I believe 2007 was v5.0, 2009 v6.0 so 2010 would be v7.0

In case of 2007 the matching folder is C:\Program Files\CodeGear\RAD
Studio\5.0\bin but obviously now the company is Embarcadero and Delphi does
use Rad Studio IDE so the paths reflect that..

Yep, we started putting it there because Vista and higher OS's don't like us
putting things in \windows\system32 as much, so we went with the next best
location that was already in the path and is writable during an
installation.
