DBISAM latest

It seems I am the neediest of the DBISAM users these days, sorry about that!
Project almost done. I need to offer the ability to export tables and I have
done this many times before but the latest tables I use have many memo
fields. How do I handle these or how does anyone typically handle these?
They just contain text so are really useful for any analysis but... Blob to
stream?  Thoughts always greatly appreciated, Sean

Depends on where and why you're exporting them, but I would have thought give DBISAM's inbuilt table.ExportTable a chance first.

I export to a csv for use with Excel. A test export with DBSYS ignores memo
fields (unless it puts them somewhere I am not aware of). If I dbl-click the
memo field from with DBSYS and use the internal export button then I can see
the contents. I will explore some more before, thanks, Sean

csv and memo fields is best described as "not nice". Before you progress to much I'd create an excel spreadsheet holding the data as you think it should look and then save as csv. You'll probably end up having to roll your own. However, a much better solution but SMExport (I have SMImport) from Scalabium or flexcel from TMS and it will much simplify your life.

Either are reasonable value (TMS €75, Scalabium €50), but I'd recommend SMExport because for the price you get a load of other formats and my view is that Mike's support is better than TMS's.

Yes, DBISAM does not export memo fields so as to not confuse other import
programs with embedded CRLF pairs from the memo fields.
