Greetings,

If I were to use Windows to copy a table's .dat and .idx without going through DBSYS, is it possible that that may cause problems/corruptions to the source table when the table is being used by other users ?

If you do it at the same time as other people are using the table its almost certain to cause a problem. If no one else is using the table then its probably ok. By no one else using it I mean that they shouldn't even have the table open.

I think the same is true even if you go through DBSys, but I'd need to look at the source code to see what Copy Table actually does.

Nope, DBSYS does an actual table copy (record-by-record), so it can be done
while other users/sessions are using the table.
